Gods and Kings

Jesus depiction in the Jewish apocalypse – Revelation. The Christian lens and the Reality.

1. Revelation is not literal work. It is a Jewish apocalypse, a vision of the divine chariot (Maaseh Merkavah). This is not Christian theology. None of the old Christian interpretations work. In Revelation Jesus is depicted as his angel, his heavenly counterpart (MemTet).

2. Jesus is not god. Jesus has a G-d, and he worships G-d, prays to Him, keeps His word and serves Him. Jesus stands in connection to G-d like Yosef haTzadik did to Pharaoh, his viceroy. The prince of the face.

3. Jesus is an agent of HaShem and hence it can “seem” as if at times he speaks in place of G-d, or better put in the Name of G-d, like the angels do in the Tanakh. It’s called the law of agency. Solomon and other kings of Israel who are “Ben Elokim” (Meshichim) sit on the throne of HaShem and many even bow in reverence to them and the same word for “worship” is at times used for the same actions. But it was not divine worship like the Creator is worshipped. And they (unlike Jesus) actually sat on the throne of HaShem.

4. All men are divine (see the Psalm Jesus himself quoted), furthermore all mankind is made in the image of G-d.

5. Any physical representations or depiction of G-d ultimately falls outside of the Torah, and is foreign thought (idolatry). “You neither saw any form or image.” Any anthropomorphic language in the Bible is called “the language of men.” Christianity has failed horribly at this, because of Greek mythology, Greek philosophy etc.

6. The Romans (who were born and raised in this Greco Roman worldview) it was the norm to see their heroes and emperors as divine god men, even sons of god. This is a fact and this is also what was done to Jesus.

7. In Torah Judaism the son of G-d doesn’t mean that he is G-d. All human beings are children of G-d in a sense. The title “son of G-d” is a title reserved for: the angels, the kings of Israel, Tzadikim, and ultimately the Messiah (who is both the son of G-d and king of Israel). ** Israel is also specifically called “the son of G-d” In Scripture it has never meant G-d, that’s a Christian invention.

Götter und Könige

Jesus-Darstellung in der jüdischen Apokalypse – Offenbarung. Die christliche Betrachtung und die Wirklichkeit.
